What are "minimum yearly participants"?
A participant is someone who has created an account, consisting of a username and a password, on your instance of The Stride Benefits Platform and logged in at least once within 12 months.
Minimum Yearly Participants is the number of people required for that specific tier. For example, if you have the Essentials Plan, you'll be committing to at least 5,000 individuals who will log in to your instance of Stride at least once.

What if I can't commit to 1,000 participants?
While a minimum of 1,000 participants is required to have your own co-branded platform, you can still help your users get affordable health, dental, vision and life insurance by sending them directly to www.stridehealth.com.

What happens if I fall short of the minimum yearly participant target?
Well, first off, we're going to do everything we can to help make sure that doesn't happen! Your Partner Success Manager will keep you up to speed on how many participants are engaged in your program and suggest ideas on how to get more participants involved.
If you fall below the minimum number of participants for your plan, you'll be charged a shortfall penalty for each participant below the target.
The shortfall fees for each tier are as follows:
- Basic: $15 per user short of target
- Essentials: $10 per user short of target
- Advantage: $7 per user short of target
- Enterprise: $5 per user short of targetFor example, if you're on the Essentials Plan and achieve 4,500 yearly participants, you would be charged a shortfall penalty of $5,000 (500 users short of target multiplied by $10).

What happens if I exceed the participant goal?
You earn credits that you can use to purchase premium Add-Ons that let you further customize your experience! You'll earn $500 for every 1,000 active participants above your target active participants for your plan. You can learn more about Add-Ons in the comparison table below.

Does Stride provide group health insurance?
No. Stride has all of the same Affordable Care Act health insurance plans that you and your users will find on HealthCare.gov or the state marketplaces at the same prices, it's just much easier to use Stride. Think of it like using tax preparation software instead of filling out your taxes by hand.

How does Stride make money?
We get paid a commission on some of the products your users purchase through the Stride platform. Not every provider in our marketplace pays us a commission though, and our recommendation algorithms will always recommend what it calculates to be the best for your user, regardless of whether or not we'll get paid a commission.

How long does it take to get started?
We get most partners up and running in about 2 weeks. Once you've signed your contract, we'll schedule a kick-off call and walk you through the setup process.
